What is Repentance?

Repentance simply means “to turn toward,” as in, to turn to Yahweh.

Man lives the ways of selfishness, taking, and greed.

Man’s ways are the absolute opposite of the ways of Yahweh.

Yahweh is a giving God, full of mercy, justice, and truth.

“To repent” is simple:

Stop doing your own thing and start doing God’s thing.

  • Do you lie? Tell the truth.
  • Do you steal? Don’t take what isn’t yours.
  • Do you gossip? Don’t tear down, build up.

As you march around the city, you will learn how to repent more and more.

Start where you are, and just march.

Learn as you go.

True repentance—the Way of Yahweh—is warfare against the self.

“Overcoming others is nothing compared to overcoming oneself.”—Yamamoto Tsunetomo, Hagakure
